American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist for an assignment in Anchorage, AK, at an outpatient imaging center. Openings: 1. Length: 13 weeks. Schedule: 40 hours per week, 10-hour days.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT (R)(CT) and CT experience, be skilled in IV starts, contrast administration, and image post-processing. First-time travelers are welcome.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year CT Technologist experience
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
• Fluoroscopy Permit preferred
• X-ray experience in extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head/chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Neonatal/infant experience preferred
• First-time travelers welcome

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT imaging including abdomen/pelvis, chest, brain, spine, and musculoskeletal studies
• Start IVs and venipuncture; administer contrast and monitor for reactions
• Run I-STAT labs and post-process images
• May float within scope to provide X-ray coverage
• Operate within Epic EMR for charting

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an outpatient imaging center requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (R)(CT) certification, with first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• Outpatient imaging center setting with a mobile patient population
• Frequent follow-up imaging for cancer diagnoses
• Responsibilities include starting IVs, running I-STAT labs, injecting contrast, and post-processing images
• 4x10 day shifts, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays
• No Sundays or holidays required
• May float within scope to provide X-ray coverage
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Scrubs provided and free parking available

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
• BLS, ARRT (R), and ARRT (CT) certifications requiredFluoroscopy Permit preferred
• X-ray experience required in extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head/chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Preferred experience with neonates and infants
• Preferred experience with fluoroscopy and enema studies
• Preferred experience with GE and Siemens CT equipment and PACS
• Skilled in peripheral IV starts, venipuncture, and contrast media preparation/administration
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic CT imaging including abdomen/pelvis, chest, brain, spine, and musculoskeletal studies
• Located within a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital system rated a top hospital in Alaska
• May be asked to float between sister facilities within the region
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Former staff members may return after a 3-month waiting period
• Only one time-off request permitted per 13-week assignment
• Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
