Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Night CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Requirements include 2+ years CT experience, ARRT CT certification, CT/X-ray skills, and NM license if applicable. You will operate the CT scanner for diagnostic exams, perform related radiography and OR imaging, using Medhost EMR.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CT experience required.
• ARRT CT certification required.
• CT and X-ray experience required.
• NM license required if applicable.
• Graduate of an AMA-accredited school.
• Licensed by the state as a general radiographer.
• Knowledge of CT processing, contrast and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Driver's license and US SSN required for consideration.
• No certifications may expire within first 30 days.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanner to provide diagnostic CT exams for inpatients and outpatients.
• Perform CT scanning of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities; assist with biopsies.
• Perform basic radiography, fluoroscopy, portable radiography, C-arm, and OR imaging.
• Use Medhost EMR.
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM; 3x12-hr nights; call 4 days per month.
• No floating required.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift CT Technologist with 2+ years experience and ARRT CT certification for a 13-week travel assignment.

• Works in the CT Scanner unit providing diagnostic CT exams for inpatients and outpatients
• Performs CT scanning of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, and extremities, as well as biopsy/drainage procedures
• Also performs basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services
• Uses Medhost EMR
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday
• Call required 4 days per month
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• ARRT CT certification required
• CT and X-ray experience required
• NM license required if applicable
• Graduate of an accredited AMA school
• Licensed by the state as a general radiographer
• Knowledge of CT system processing, surgical/sterile procedure, contrast and non-contrast studies, and cross-sectional anatomy
• Driver's license and US SSN required for consideration
• No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provides professional, timely, and accurate diagnostic CT examinations under physician orders and departmental protocols
• Works under the direction of a Radiologist and in compliance with established policies and procedures
• Any scrub color accepted
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Candidates who worked at this health system as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
