• IV starts and venipuncture skills required.
• Contrast media preparation and administration knowledge.
• Pediatric imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-ray exams in outpatient and ED settings for adults and pediatrics.
• Work 3x12 hour days, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, Fri–Sun.
• May float to other Cone Health campuses as needed.
• CT exams include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, perfusion, CTAs, and MPRs.
• X-ray exams include extremities, abdomen, spine/pelvis, head, chest, and MSK imaging.
• ED exams include outpatient CT/X-ray, cardiac CT, and perfusion studies.
• Begin IVs with approximately 8–9 starts per day.
• Operate PACS; Siemens equipment; Samsung X-ray experience preferred.
• Epic EMR experience is required.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience performing both CT and X-Ray procedures in outpatient and emergency department settings.

Details

• Performs both CT and X-Ray procedures across adult and pediatric outpatient and ED settings
• 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday through Sunday
• May occasionally be asked to float to other Cone Health campus facilities
• CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
• X-ray procedures include extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
• ED exams include outpatient CT and X-ray, cardiac CT (pulmonary vein CT, cardiac calcium scores), and perfusion studies
• Requires starting approximately 8-9 IVs per day
• Uses PACS system and Siemens equipment, with Samsung X-ray experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• ARRT CT and ARRT R certification required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Outpatient (adult and pediatric) and ED experience required
• Experience with PACS, portables, and Siemens equipment required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
• Proficiency in image display, post-processing, and ROI measurement
• Experience with infants and pediatric patients preferred
• Experience with colonography or virtual colonography preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing diagnostic CT and X-ray exams across outpatient and emergency settings for adult and pediatric patients
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as local rates do not apply
• RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
