Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Carmichael, CA. This role requires 40 hours per week, with 10-hour night shifts, and involves operating CT equipment to capture diagnostic images for physicians.

A minimum of 1 year of CT experience, BLS, ARRT (CT) certification with CT registration, and any required state licensing are required. CT Techs must stand/walk long periods and have solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• CT Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures
• Interpret doctors' instructions
• Position patients for scans to target specific body areas
• Operate CT equipment to capture diagnostic images
• Administer radiocontrast as needed
• Evaluate CT scans for image quality
• Follow radiation safety procedures
• Maintain patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
