Job summary

Healthforce is seeking Radiology Tech (CT Tech) for a travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date is 10/19/2026 for 13 weeks with 10-hour varied shifts in a hospital setting. This temporary role offers weekly pay and no guaranteed hours.

You will perform CT imaging, operate Canon/Toshiba CT units and the Vitrea workstation, obtain venous access, and document in Meditech EMR while adhering to safety protocols. Hawaii license, ARRT-CT, BLS, and 2 years’ acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Hawaii State Radiologic Technologist license (radiographer) with active status by start date; travelers not currently licensed must apply upon acceptance and obtain Hawaii licensure by assignment start
• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current
• Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in an acute hospital setting
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR; experience with Canon/Toshiba CT units and Vitrea workstation preferred
• Ability to scan per radiologist protocols, perform routine CT scans, and function independently without supervision; experience with MIP, MPR, 3D imaging; vascular, cardiac imaging, trauma, or stroke experience a plus
• Proof of influenza vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exception required prior to contract start date (flu vaccination can be administered during employee health clearance)

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging studies per radiologist protocols, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and patient safety
• Operate CT equipment (Canon/Toshiba CT units) and utilize the Vitrea workstation for post-processing (MIP, MPR, 3D imaging) as required
• Obtain venous access and conduct contrast-related procedures; assist with biopsies or drainages when indicated
• Document procedures in Meditech EMR, communicate findings to the radiologist, and coordinate patient care with the imaging team
• Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety, infection control, and patient monitoring standards; no on-call requirement and shifts may vary by need
• Arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete employee health clearance; comply with no RTO during the first 13 weeks of contract
