Job Opening: Critical Care Float CNA / Nurse Assistant in West Islip, NY

Aya Healthcare has an immediate opening for a Critical Care Float CNA / Nurse Assistant position in West Islip, NY.

Requirements:
  • Required Certifications: BLS
  • Required Skills: Assist with ambulation, feeding patients, turning and repositioning, bed shampoo, changing linens (occupied, unoccupied), complete bed bath, decubitus care prevention, foot care, incontinence/elimination care, mouth care, perineal care (male/female), shaving patients, shower assistance, skin care, bed alarms, bedpan/urinal, bedside commode, call lights, crutches, electronic vital sign equipment, heel and elbow protection, hospital beds, oxygen tanks, stretchers, wheelchair, donning and removing PPE, isolation precautions, measuring/recording weight, obtaining blood pressure (including orthostatic), respirations, pulse (radial), temperature (oral, rectal, axillary, tympanic), turning and positioning patients, recognizing abnormal vital sign parameters (adult and pediatric), fluid restrictions, inventory/disposition of belongings, proper body mechanics for lifting and pulling, limb restrictions, normal vital signs parameters (adult and pediatric), NPO status, passive range of motion, recognizing cardiac arrest, safe patient transfers, bathing/hygiene, diet intake/calorie count, reporting changes in patient condition, urine output measures and records.
Job Details:
  • Pay: $23.00 per hour
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 3, 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
  • Experience: At least one year required
