Job summary

Symbria is seeking a therapist for full-time travel positions that include full benefits such as health insurance and a monthly travel stipend. You will be placed in one of ten states and be expected to travel across various settings.

The ideal candidate will have a background as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and a valid license in operating states. Responsibilities include patient care, treatment plan discussions, documentation, and travel to assigned locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Valid registered license in operating states or ability to obtain it.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills with a strong customer-service focus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience in acute care, long-term care, and/or rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain necessary background data from assigned patient’s charts.
• Assist a licensed Occupational Therapist in collecting evaluation data.
• Modify existing goals and adapt treatment techniques to meet patient needs.
• Discuss treatment plans with patients and families as indicated.
• Complete all required clinical and billing documentation timely.
• Administer occupational therapy programs to maintain maximum function.
• Provide instruction in self-care activities such as bathing and dressing.
• Maintain productivity standards and utilize technology for documentation.
• Travel to various locations for therapy services as needed.
• Provide own transportation between patient visits.
