Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections LPN for a travel assignment in Abingdon, VA. You will provide general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory sections of the Corrections Facility, while upholding security standards and federal/state guidelines.

The position requires an active LPN license, at least 18 and preferred 1+ year in corrections, CPR if applicable, health clearance, and compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.
