Travel Registered Nurse – Step Down Unit (SDU) - Nights - Rock Island, IL
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,820 (Based on Experience)
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm specializing in healthcare travel positions, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Step Down Unit (SDU) assignment in Rock Island, Illinois. Job Description:
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring, transitioning from ICU to general care
- Monitor patient conditions using advanced telemetry and diagnostic equipment
- Administer medications, perform assessments, and respond to urgent changes in patient status
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to create and implement care plans
- Document patient observations, interventions, and outcomes accurately
- Educate patients and families about post-discharge care and recovery plans
- Uphold infection control and patient safety standards in compliance with hospital protocols
- Active RN license – Illinois or Compact State
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Step Down, PCU, or Telemetry units
- BLS and ACLS certifications – Required
- NIHSS certification – Preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
- Located on the banks of the Mississippi River in the heart of the Quad Cities
