Job Description

The Level IV Cath Lab RN is accountable for providing competent care based on established standards. The schedule includes 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and callbacks, depending on unit needs.

• The Cath lab focuses on mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention for cardiac patients in the upstate New York region.
• The facility has four Cath labs and three EP labs, caring for adult and pediatric patients with diverse conditions.
• Includes pre- and post-procedural care in a comprehensive program with a holding area.
• The practice model emphasizes RN-CVT collaboration, aiming for excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH knowledge
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Technical skills and medical terminology knowledge
• Passion for patient care
• Minimum of two years current RN Cath Lab experience
• Graduate from accredited RN program
• Active, unencumbered New York RN license
• One year Epic experience
• Familiarity with Device and Ablation procedures and equipment
• Moderate sedation trained
• Dysrhythmia management skills
• Cardiovascular certification or RCES preferred
