Local Travel Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse – Days - Wauwatosa, WI

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Weekly Compensation: Up to $3,000 (Based on Experience)

Shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM | 10-Hour Days

Health Care, a trusted recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Local Travel OR Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. This position is an excellent opportunity for an OR RN who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is looking to stay close to home while gaining valuable travel nursing experience.

Job Description

• Provide direct nursing care in the operating room in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Assist with surgical procedures and monitor patients before, during, and after surgery
• Scrub and circulate in a variety of surgical specialties, including pediatrics (PEDS experience required)
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain sterile fields and adhere to infection control protocols
• Respond to intraoperative emergencies and act quickly under pressure
• Document patient care and surgical details using EPIC charting system
  
  

Education & Certification Requirements

• Current unencumbered RN license in Wisconsin or Compact State license
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room experience required
• Pediatric surgical experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
  
  

Position Details

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM (10-hour days)
• On-Call Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 weekday on-call per week
• Every 4th weekend on-call (Friday end of shift to Monday 7:00 AM)
• 30-minute call response time required
• Weekends: Rotate every other weekend as needed
• Holidays: As needed, including in-house coverage or 24-hour beeper call
• Compensation: Up to $3,000/week (based on experience)
