Connected Health Care, a top-tier recruitment and staffing agency, is currently seeking an experienced Local Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) for a 13-week contract with one of our valued healthcare partners in Windsor, Vermont. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a collaborative care environment while enjoying the charm of one of Vermont's most picturesque towns.

Position Overview

As a Med-Surg RN, you will deliver direct patient care to individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgical procedures. This role requires a compassionate, detail-oriented nurse who excels in fast-paced settings and enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on patient care plans
• Assist with diagnostic tests, wound care, and patient mobilization
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and recovery
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in EMR systems
• Adhere to hospital safety and infection control protocols
  
  

Education And Certification Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont or compact-eligible state
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Prior experience in medical-surgical or acute care settings strongly preferred
