Job summary

BCD Travel is seeking a Travel Consultant III for a remote, part-time position in the United States. You will be the face of our company, handling requests from current and new clients and helping them travel smart.

The role requires optimizing itineraries, understanding policies, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will work 24–30 hours weekly, including weekends and some holidays, with shifts across morning, afternoon, and evening.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a travel agent.
• Advanced skills in GDS Sabre.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Working knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures, and processes.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Search and confirm travel reservations for the customer.
• Understand client travel policies and provide consultation.
• Fulfill requests regarding regulations (DOT, TSA, passports, visas).
• Provide industry information such as low fares, exchange costs, penalties.
• Review operational processes and relationships with clients for improvements.
• Maintain and expand knowledge of the travel industries supported.

This is a part-time role scheduled for 24-30 hours per week. The schedule includes both weekend days (Saturday and Sunday) and some holidays. Shifts could be morning, afternoon, evening, etc.

What You'll Do

• Search and confirm travel reservations for the customer
• Have a strong understanding of a client travel policy and can consistently provide consultation to the customer
• Fulfill all requests regarding necessary regulations (DOT, TSA, passports, visas, etc.)
• Provide the client with the required industry information, such as low fares, exchange costs, and penalties
• Seek opportunities to review operational processes and commercial relationships with client to provide suggestions for improvement
• Maintain, actively communicate, and seek expansion of current knowledge of the state of the various travel industries supported

The hourly range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Travel Consultant III is between $22.60 and $28.85. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.

This position requires flexibility regarding work schedules. Assignments may include day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as determined by business needs.
