Amex GBT is seeking a Travel Consultant to deliver exceptional service to Defense & Government travelers. You will manage domestic and international bookings, act as trusted advisor, and use Sabre GDS to optimize travel arrangements.

Based in Fort Moore, Georgia, this role supports mainly phone-based bookings and requires U.S. citizenship due to the federal contract. You will collaborate with a team to ensure a seamless travel experience for federal clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as Travel Consultant.
• Experience in GDS Sabre across local and global markets.
• U.S. citizenship required due to Federal Government contract.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and book domestic and international travel for air, road, rail, and accommodations for corporate customers.
• Ensure reservations are built according to client standards and preferences.
• Act as a trusted advisor with informed recommendations for best traveler experience.
• Handle bookings from simple to complex, including multi-destination and fare issues.
• Make changes or resolve issues during travel assignments.
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options and upsell services.
• Use positive service techniques and fulfill special requests.
• GDS Sabre usage for reservations.
• This position supports mainly phones.

As a Travel Consultant, you will provide outstanding customer service to Defense & Government travelers before, during, and after their business trips. This role is for CWT Defense & Government within CWT, a member of the American Express Global Business Travel family of companies.

What You'll Do

• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups)
• Ensure reservations are built according to client standards and preferences
• Act as a trusted advisor by offering informed and insightful recommendations that provide the best traveler experience
• Handle a wide range of bookings from simple ones to complex bookings with potentially non-standard and multi-destinations, ticket exchanges, and complex fares
• Make changes or solve any issues that might occur during or before the travel assignments including both routine and non-routine work
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services
• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests
• Global Distribution Systems (GDS) Sabre usage
• This position supports mainly phones

What We're Looking For

• 3 or more years' experience working as a Travel Consultant
• Experience in GDS (Sabre) across both local and global markets
• U.S. citizenship required due to Federal Government contract

Location: Fort Moore, Georgia, United States.

The US national base salary range for this position is from $36000 - $79000 Annually. The national range provided includes the base salary that the company expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
