Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel seeks a VIP Travel Consultant to manage travel for exclusive corporate clients, including business executives and entertainment figures, in the United States. Expect accuracy, professionalism, and a collaborative culture that values your input.

You will coordinate domestic and international travel, ensure policy compliance, and leverage Sabre, Apollo and Amadeus. We offer shift premiums for alternative shifts and dual GDS experience.

Qualifications

• GDS proficiency for Sabre, Apollo and Amadeus.
• 3+ years corporate travel experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail and integrity in handling traveller data.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers in the US.
• Conduct research on travel options and anticipate traveler needs.
• Book domestic and international travel including air, rail, and hotel.
• Use one of our Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
• Ensure compliance with travel policy and provider rules.
• Provide courteous, proactive service and handle special requests.
• Collaborate with teammates to coach and improve service levels.

Shifts: Monday- Sunday 8am-7pm

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups) in the US

• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services

• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations

• Use of one of our Global Distribution System's (GDS)

• Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements

• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests

• Prevent fraudulent callers from trying to book trips afterhours by following our security protocols.

• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels

What Are We Looking For?

• Passion for excellence in client service, including proactive anticipation of needs

• Native GDS expertise (Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus)

• 3 + years corporate travel experience, including fares, ticketing, car, hotel, air, and rail for domestic and international travel.

• Excellent professional communication (written and verbal)

• Attention to detail

• Act with integrity, and look after personal traveler information

• Resolving customer issues quickly and independently / with supplier

• Teamwork and openness to feedback

The US national base salary range for this position is from

$46,200.00 - $85,800.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
