Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse in hospitals, facilities, and travel assignments.

The CNA will perform individualized patient care tasks and non-professional services to support patients’ personal needs and comfort as part of a travel healthcare team.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a nursing assistant preferred
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant per client/state requirements
• Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs direct patient care under the direct supervision of a RN or LPN/LVN or other licensed medical professional.
• The CNA/NA performs a variety of individualized patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of patients.
