Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) – Generalist for a 13-week assignment in Templeton, CA. You will join a dedicated clinical team and perform a wide range of laboratory tests, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting while enjoying competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

The role requires at least one year CLS experience and a license as required by state regulations; MLS certification and BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) required.
• Licensure as required by state regulations.
• MLS certification by ASCP or equivalent preferred.
• Current BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee CLS tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and blood banking.
• Validate results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and approve reports.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments; ensure regulatory compliance (AABB, CAP, CLIA, FDA).
• Train and mentor staff; supervise laboratory personnel.
• Communicate critical results to physicians promptly.
