Job summary

Excelsia Injury Care is seeking a team-oriented professional to assist in our Gaithersburg and Frederick locations, providing patient care and physical therapy support. The role requires travel between offices to ensure quality patient care and coverage, with duties including charting, patient registration, and light office tasks.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, state certification progression, and experience in a medical office with PT or chiropractic care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State Certification or enrollment in a program with 20 observation hours and 520 clinical hours to become State Certified within 1 year.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification.
• 1 year of office experience providing physical therapy and/or chiropractic care.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients pre and post care as directed by the Doctor of Chiropractic.
• Take vital signs of patients.
• Perform physical therapy modalities as directed by the Doctor of Chiropractic.
• Document modalities performed and patient progress notes accurately and legibly.
• Maintain cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms at all times.
• Monitor controls on physical therapy equipment.
• Launder towels, gowns, heat pack covers, etc. as required.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Assist in general office operations including filing, chart prep,-phone answering, patient registration, posting charges, scanning, cleaning.
• Travel to other locations to ensure coverage for quality patient care.
• Assist in maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly office environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
