Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Adrian, Michigan is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a 13-week travel assignment. You will deliver therapeutic activities, monitor progress, and document outcomes under the supervision of an OT.

The role requires at least 1 year of OTA experience, BLS and NBCOT (COTA), and state licensure. You must be able to lift patients and work 40 hours per week on days.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• The ideal candidate must hold a current BLS and NBCOT COTA certification.
• State-specific licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.

Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. The ideal candidate must hold a current BLS and COTA National certification. State-specific licensure is required. OTAs should be able to lift and assist patients safely, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and possess a solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.
