The Role

Certified occupational therapy assistants carry out the plan of care set by a supervising occupational therapist, helping patients practise the skills of daily living, with notes for each visit. A skilled nursing facility cares for residents recovering after a hospital stay as well as long-term residents, so plans of care range from short-term rehab to keeping function.
