Position Description

A nursing assistant responsible for providing routine nursing care according to established policies and procedures, under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator, ensuring high-quality resident care at all times.

Qualifications
  • License as a certified nursing assistant.
  • At least 6 months of experience as a CNA or clinical experience during a nursing assistant certification program.
  • Sincere desire to serve the ill, aged, and infirm.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
  • Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
  • Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and ability to handle residents at various maturity levels.
  • Good general health and emotional stability.
  • Ability to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, or hostile individuals.
Responsibilities
  • Perform duties as assigned, following facility policies, nursing care procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours to provide nursing care.
  • Verify resident identity before providing care or serving food.
  • Report missing ID bands immediately.
  • Make beds, clean bedside and overbed tables.
  • Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh water, and within residents' reach.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.
