Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Cook to join our restaurant team at a TA travel center. You will prepare and present quality food, ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to plate presentation standards.

You will handle prep and grill tasks, follow safety guidelines, complete temperature checklists, and coordinate with leadership and teammates. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), vacation, tuition reimbursement, meal discounts, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service
• Perform prep cook tasks such as washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients
• Perform grill cook tasks, set up broiler, fryer and grill stations and follow plate presentation guides
• Complete prep, freezer pull and temperature checklist sheets
• Practice safe food handling and storage and follow safety guidelines
• Maintain equipment per operating standards
• Prioritize work according to restaurant and guest needs
• Build strong communication with leaders and co-workers
• Perform other duties as assigned
