Job Summary

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist. This position supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include equipment setup, sterile technique, procedural assistance, dysrhythmia recognition, and care for adult and geriatric patients.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization; required certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Technologist certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R) or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiologic Specialist certification (CCI RCIS); active license required at submission; experience with cardiac implant closure devices, cardiac stent placement, adult diagnostic catheterizations, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) placement and removal, interpretation of dysrhythmias, left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), Rotablator atherectomy, scrub procedures, room circulation, equipment setup, life-threatening arrhythmia recognition, isolation precautions, personal protective equipment (PPE), and sterile technique; experience with Cerner required.
• Schedule: Day shift, 3 shifts of 12 hours each, generally scheduled from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Call coverage is required on a rotating basis as needed. The position requires work on 23 weekends during the assignment. The role supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures and serves adult and geriatric patient populations. The assignment is available for 1326 weeks.
