Job Summary

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in an acute care setting. The role performs equipment setup, maintains sterile technique, assists with complex cardiac procedures, and recognizes life-threatening arrhythmias. The position requires day-shift availability, rotating call coverage, and experience with adult and geriatric patient populations.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum one year of experience; active professional license required at application; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R) certification required; experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization laboratories; competency in cardiac implant closure device procedures, cardiac stent placement, adult diagnostic catheterizations, intra-aortic balloon pump placement and removal, dysrhythmia interpretation, left and right heart catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Rotablator atherectomy, scrub procedures, equipment setup, room circulation, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, isolation precautions, personal protective equipment, and sterile technique.
• Schedule: Four 12-hour day shifts, approximately 6:30 AM-7:00 PM, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Rotating call coverage is required as needed. The role includes working two to three weekends per assignment and may involve block schedule requests subject to approval. Clinical responsibilities include supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, maintaining the sterile field, and caring for adult and geriatric patients. Electronic health record experience with Cerner is required. The work setting is an acute care hospital with a Level I trauma center and Magnet designation.
