Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Technologist Position Overview

Schedule Details

• 10-hour days, 4 days a week
• Hours may vary; the expectation is to stay until cases are completed, resulting in some days being 8 to 11 hours long

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume cardiac catheterization lab
• Strong skills in both Coronary Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP)

License/Certification Requirements

• RCIS certification is required

Additional Requirements

• Will float between Biloxi and Gulfport
• Must be available every 3rd weekend
• On-call requirements are approximately 8-9 days per month, with a preference for one weeknight and one weekend per month
• Holiday requirements include working one major holiday and one minor holiday

Pre-Employment Requirements

Candidates must complete fingerprinting through the Mississippi SAFER system before starting the assignment. Registration and fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of accepting an offer to avoid delays.

Skills and Experience Desired

• Experience with a high volume of cases per day in a busy catheterization lab
• Current knowledge and experience with left heart catheterization
• Proficient in electrophysiology (EP) and ablation procedures, including STEM capabilities
• Experience in Neuro IR procedures is preferred
• Familiarity with structural heart procedures such as TAVR and Watchman is a plus

Orientation and Credentialing

• Orientation will be held at Gulfport
• Credentials are due the Monday prior to the start date
