Description

We're looking for a Travel Cath Lab Technologist in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry, based in Dallas, Texas, United States.

Role:

An Advanced Therapies (AT) Cath Lab Technologist / Interventional Technologist supports Cardiologists, Cardiovascular Surgeons, Radiologists, Interventional Neurosurgeons, and Vascular Surgeons. The Technologist interacts professionally with physicians, team members, patients, and families. They must work independently and collaboratively with nursing and ancillary staff to deliver exceptional patient care. The role requires critical thinking, leadership, ongoing education, and mentorship.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with clinical, technical, and administrative functions daily.
2. Verify patient identification, history, diagnosis, and procedure details for diagnostic and interventional cases.
3. Assist with pre- and post-procedural patient care.
4. Prepare for procedures, manage supplies, and maintain the sterile field per standards of care.
5. Perform sterile procedures as per physician preference, policies, and procedures.
6. Operate Interventional Angiography Systems in dedicated suites.
7. Set up and operate additional procedural equipment.
8. Conduct quality control and operate the Angiography System safely, supporting ALARA principles, and alert physicians to intra-procedural dose thresholds and equipment issues.
9. Ensure team compliance with radiation safety principles, including time, distance, proper care, and use of protective gear and dosimetry badges.
10. Participate in room turnover, patient transfer, terminal cleaning, stocking, and quality improvement activities.
11. Perform additional duties as required.
