Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in pediatric and adult cardiac catheterization procedures at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, and first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Details

• Pediatric Cath Lab with 2 procedure rooms
• Pediatric and adult transplant right/left heart biopsy, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and valve placement procedures
• May also include interventional radiology cases, preferably pediatric
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call requirement of 8-10 shifts per month including weekend coverage
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager's discretion
• EPIC EMR preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Cath Lab procedures
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required (AHA certifications only)
• CCI certification with RCIS/RCES preferred, ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) also acceptable
• License required if applicable
• Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures, cardiac stent placement, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
• Experience with diagnostic catheterizations for pediatric/neonatal patients required, adult diagnostic catheterization experience preferred
• Preferred experience in Level I Trauma pediatric cath lab and EP procedures

Additional Information

• Work at a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with 865 staffed beds
• All staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November with peak activity in August and September
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Locals accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius at a reduced rate
• Non-local candidates are prioritized for this position
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for facility approval
