Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Topeka, KS. You will assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, prepare patients and equipment, and ensure patient safety in a high-pressure cath lab environment.

The role requires 1 year of Cath Lab experience, BLS, ACLS, and ARRT/RCIS/RCES certifications, with preferred Radiologic Technologist license. Travel offers comprehensive benefits and dedicated clinical support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification.
• Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• Radiologic Technologist license preferred.
• PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional procedures.
• Pass catheters, wires, balloons, and stents; operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment during procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
• Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup, adhering to infection control and procedural protocols.
• Perform sheath removal and hemostasis as directed.
• Maintain accurate documentation including patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs.
• Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
