Job summary

Proforma Health Inc. in Austin is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician to support diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. You will prepare patients and equipment, monitor hemodynamics, and assist the healthcare team to ensure safety and high-quality care.

In this role you will assist catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, and electrophysiology studies; operate fluoroscopy and monitoring equipment; and help maintain sterile fields and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• One year recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certifications.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and technical skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role: Responsible for assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. Tasks include preparing patients and equipment, monitoring hemodynamic data, operating imaging devices, maintaining sterile techniques, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Key Duties

• Assist with procedures such as catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, and electrophysiology studies.
• Operate fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring, contrast injectors, and related equipment.
• Maintain sterile fields, perform sheath removal, and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage inventory, adhere to safety protocols, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

• One year recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certifications.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and technical skills.
• Physical ability to move equipment and work in high-pressure environments.
• Effective interpersonal skills and visual acuity.
