Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with at least 5 years of specialized cardiac catheterization experience for a day shift position requiring CA licensure.

Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab department with a 5x8 schedule, Monday through Friday, starting at 7am or 8am and running until 1530 or 1630. Call required 2 days per week and 1–2 weekends per month; EPIC EMR experience is required.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required.
• Minimum 5 years of Cath Lab experience required.
• Experience in structural heart, vascular, diagnostic, Impella, ECMO, and emergent cath cases.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab department.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8s, Monday through Friday with 7am or 8am start times.
• Shifts run through 1530 or 1630.
• Call required 2 days per week.
• Weekend call required 1-2 weekends per month.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
• Coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, healing, and compassionate care.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide patient and family education on health information.
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members.
• Required vaccinations are a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered.
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered.
• Candidates with any prior adverse licensure action will not be considered.
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction, and local pay rates match travel rates.
