Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab in Amarillo, Texas for a 13-week assignment. Expect four 10-hour day shifts, with occasional evenings and call coverage. Must hold a TX or Compact RN license, have 2+ years Cath Lab experience, and be current in ACLS/BLS with Epic EMR experience.

Travel, per diem, and licensure reimbursements are available. Housing stipends and day-one benefits accompany this travel assignment.

Qualifications

• Active TX or Compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum of 2 years recent cath lab nursing experience required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Epic EMR experience within the last 6 months required.

Responsibilities

• Based in a hospital Cath Lab setting.
• Four 10-hour day shifts, with start/end times based on cases (8am–7pm).
• Call required 7pm–7am on weeknights and 7am–7pm on weekends.
• Care for cardiovascular and electrophysiology patients.
• Uses Epic EMR system.
• Live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted.
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays if needed.
• No time off during first week of orientation.
• No travel pairs or groups accepted.
• Orientation completed onsite.
• First-time travelers welcome.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position, requiring a TX or Compact RN license and recent Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital Cath Lab setting
• Works four 10-hour day shifts, with flexible start and end times based on case scheduling between 8am and 7pm
• Call is required on weeknights from 7pm to 7am and weekends from 7am to 7pm
• Cares for cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedure patients
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals are not accepted
• Mandatory to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if needed
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved; no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation
• No travel pairs or groups will be accepted
• Modules and orientation required and completed onsite
• First time travelers are considered

Requirements

• Active TX or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent cath lab nursing experience required
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS required
• Epic EMR experience within the last 6 months required
• Former permanent staff must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
