Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 40 hours per week and 10-hour day shifts in a fast-paced cardiovascular lab.

Qualified candidates have 1–2 years of acute care RN experience and current ACLS/BLS. You will support physicians during catheterization, angioplasties, stent placements, and may assist with pacemaker/ICD implants in a demanding but rewarding environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 1–2 years of recent acute care RN experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or similar setting
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed

Responsibilities

• Learn complex technologies in the Cath Lab
• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization to diagnose or treat heart conditions
• Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties and stent placements
• Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs)
