Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Danbury, CT. The role requires 3+ years in Cardiac Cath Lab/EP labs, state licensure or RCIS, and BLS/ACLS.

You will scrub and assist with EP, PCI, and neurovascular procedures while supporting a wide range of high-acuity cases in a hospital lab. Shifts are 3x12s (days) with 36 hours per week, and travel allowances including stipends and housing support may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA).
• Experience scrubbing EP procedures including ablations, device implants, generator changes, lead revisions, and leadless pacing systems.
• Experience supporting neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Expertise in radial and femoral vascular access and closure devices.

Responsibilities

• Support high-acuity cardiovascular cases across EP, cath lab, neurointerventional and structural heart.
• Scrub and assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures (PCI, atherectomy).
• Assist with devices and equipment including Impella, IABP, and temporary pacing.
• Participate in weekend/holiday/on-call rotations as required by department needs.

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years of Cardiac Cath Lab/EP experience and cross-training in structural heart and neurointerventional procedures.

Details

• Hospital-based cardiovascular lab supporting EP, cardiac catheterization, neurointerventional, and structural heart procedures
• Handles high-acuity and complex cardiovascular cases, including emergent and advanced interventional procedures
• 3x12 hour shifts with variable start times between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM
• Participation in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation as required by department needs

Requirements

• State of CT Radiographer license required if applicable, in conjunction with ARRT (R) and/or RCIS certification through CCI
• Minimum 3 years Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Proficient in scrubbing EP procedures including ablations, device implants, generator changes, lead revisions, and leadless pacing systems (Micra, Aveir preferred)
• Proficient in scrubbing cardiac catheterization procedures including diagnostic and interventional cases (PCI, atherectomy)
• Experience supporting mechanical circulatory support devices (Impella, IABP, temporary pacing)
• Experience supporting neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures, including diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions
• Expertise in radial and femoral vascular access, sheath management, and vascular closure devices
• Preferred: Familiarity with Siemens equipment and RCIS certification through CCI
• Preferred: Proficient in scrubbing structural heart procedures including TAVR, MitraClip, PFO/ASD closure, and Watchman
• Preferred: Skilled in advanced cardiovascular imaging technologies including ICE, IVUS, OCT, and 3D mapping systems
• Two professional references from previous managers required for consideration

• Support a wide range of high-acuity cardiovascular procedures across EP, cath lab, neurointerventional, and structural heart specialties
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary cardiovascular care team
