Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience to scrub and monitor cardiology, vascular intervention, and interventional radiology cases.

Details

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology setting
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call required 10-12 days per month, including Christmas coverage
• Procedures include cardiac catheterizations, PCI, IABP and Impella placement, pacemaker insertion, angioplasty, stent placement, endograft placement, IVC filter placement/removal, and vascular closure
• Uses fluoroscopy equipment and PACS

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience required
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with Impella and thrombectomy procedures preferred
• Proficiency in scrubbing, monitoring, equipment set up, EKG lead placement, and access site prep
• Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias

Additional Information

• Perform scrub and monitoring duties for cardiology, vascular intervention, and IR cases
• Must work 3 of the 5 winter holidays
• RTO requests are reviewed case by case and should be kept to under 7-10 days when possible
• RTO factored into contract length, extending assignment duration as needed
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Facility housing available
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates are not accepted
