Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Travel Cardiovascular Technologist for Weatherford, TX at Medical City Weatherford. This 13-week onsite assignment requires 12-hour days (7A-7P), three days a week, with call and rotating duties in the cath lab.

Must have RAD TECH experience; CV Xray tech registered; RN circulating/scrubbing experience preferred. You will work with a team of 13, performing complex heart procedures and using Philips cath lab equipment, EMR systems Meditech/Merge, and scrubs provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cath lab procedures including heart caths and peripheral angio.
• Circulate and scrub for cath lab cases.
• Operate Philips cath lab equipment and maintain sterile protocol.
• Monitor patient during preop/postop in cath lab.
• Collaborate with RN and staff.

TRAVEL – Cath Lab Tech (746) / MC Weatherford / 7A-7P

*Must have RAD TECH experience

Building: Main- Cath lab (Heart and Vascular Center)

General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):

Number of Beds – 6 holding bays and 2 cath lab procedure rooms (we turn bays quickly)

Number of Staff – 13 total (FT- 2 CVT s, FT- 7 RN s, PT-1 RN, PRN- 1 CVT, 2 RNs)

Type of staff:

Day Shift – M, T, W are our busiest days – All FT staff work and PRN s if available, TH/F light

Shifts- We do 12 hour days or until we re finished. Some days can be long

Patient Ratios – 4 man teams, RNs rotate through cath lab holding (pre-op/recovery)

Type of equipment – Cath lab 1 Client equipment and Cath lab 2 is a Philips equipment

EMR – Meditech / Merge

On Call Requirement – Yes, running around 15 days in a 6-week time frame (self-scheduling)

Floating Requirement – If short of hours and other departs need tasking, you can float to task if needed

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: Cath lab RN: circulator, scrub, preop/recovery. CV Xray Tech: Scrub / Xray Cath Lab Tech Certification

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

RN: experience in circulating and or scrubbing / monitoring /preop / recovery

CV Xray Tech: must be registered, able to Xray cath lab cases

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

Nice to have RN and CV Xray Tech with scrub experience, pre-post procedure care experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

R/L heart caths, peripheral, carotids angio/stents, PE/DVT cases, impella/IABP, TEE/Cardioversion, PPM s, IVC filters, ECMO cannulations
