Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Operating Room Nurse (RN) for cardiovascular procedures in New Haven, CT. The role involves scrubbing and circulating duties, maintaining aseptic technique, and preparing the OR for surgical procedures.

You will work under the Nurse Manager and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safe, efficient care. The position requires an active RN license in the state, BLS certification, and OR experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice.
• Documentation of one year of operating room experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years preferred.
• Current BLS card.
• Full command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Physical dexterity and perceptive acuity to perform duties.
• Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray as required.
• Successful completion of Amergis Staffing Solutions testing.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates aseptic techniques and adheres to standards.
• Sets up room for surgical procedures and identifies instrumentation and supplies.
• Assists scrubbed team with additional staff, supplies, and procedures.
• Maintains and updates instrument counts and safe patient environment.
• Communicates effectively with surgeons, staff, and patients.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
• Keeps clinical skills current through education and practice.
