Job Summary

Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This critical care position involves working in a Level II Trauma Center within a Magnet Designated facility. The role emphasizes managing post-operative cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical patients, supporting advanced invasive monitoring, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Job DetailsPosition Description: Critical care nurse managing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical patients in a Level II Trauma Center.

Required Qualifications

3 years of ICU experience with 1-year CVICU experience, current BLS and ACLS certifications, licensed in the state, and at least 1 year of experience.

Schedule

12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, starting 10/05/2026 and ending 01/02/2027, with a 6-week rotation cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with invasive line monitoring (Swan Ganz, arterial lines), pacemakers, chest tubes, cardiac medications, ventilator management, and EPIC electronic medical record system experience.

Additional Information

Orientation includes 1 day of facility and unit orientation plus 2-4 hours of New Employee Orientation with a supervisor or nurse educator. After orientation, onboarding occurs with a preceptor. The unit supports a weekend rotation every other week, does not require on-call duties, and has holiday shifts of 1-2 per contract. Scrub color is solid and professional; free parking is available with shuttle service for day shifts and attached parking for night shifts.
