American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN Cardiac Telemetry in Peoria, IL. This 13-week assignment features 12-hour night shifts, a 36-hour work week, and start date 01/19/2026 in an acute Cardio-Thoracic Telemetry unit.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care Cardio-Thoracic Telemetry unit (70 beds).
• Care for MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD, lung surgery, and med-surg overflow.
• Titrate drips, titration of medications, and troubleshoot CPAP/BiPAP as needed.
• Use Phillips tele monitors and Epic EMR; nurse-to-patient ratios 1:4-5 days, 1:5-6 nights.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardio Thoracic Telemetry position requiring an active IL RN license and strong EKG interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care Cardio Thoracic Telemetry unit with 70 beds
• Patients include those with MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placements, lung surgery, and gen med overflow
• Unit uses Phillips tele monitors and the Epic EMR system
• Nurse to patient ratios are 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 at night
• Twelve-hour night shifts, 7:00pm–7:30am
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Float assignment may include general medical units
• No on-call or standby requirement
• RNs required to titrate drips, perform medication titration, and troubleshoot CPAP/BiPAP in specified situations
• Unit supported by 24/7 charge nurse and house supervisor, with charge nurses rarely taking patient assignments
• Patient care tech support provided, with day ratios of 1:8-9 and night ratios of 1:10-12
• Orientation provided, typically one shift or less depending on prior OSF experience
• Holiday participation required, with rotating coverage for major holidays
• Dress code allows any color scrubs except children's/cartoon prints
• No radius rule applies; different rates may apply for local candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in hand at the time of consideration

• Ability to interpret telemetry strips required
