American Traveler is seeking an RN with cardiology experience for a fast-paced outpatient clinic in Wisconsin. The role requires an active WI license or compact licensure, BLS/ACLS, and 3+ years in cardiology settings including Cath Lab or ICU/CVICU. Epic EMR experience is preferred and there is potential for travel consideration.

The position involves rooming patients, managing orders and triage calls, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a hospital-campus clinic.

Qualifications

• Active WI or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in clinic, ICU/CVICU, Cath Lab, or Cardiac Stepdown settings.
• Comfortable managing cardiology patient types and performing phone triage, order entry, and patient education.
• Experience with Holter/event monitor placement preferred, though training is available.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN.
• Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient cardiology clinic in a hospital campus setting.
• 11-room clinic with average 24-60 patients per day.
• See patients, ~15 minutes each, in a fast-paced environment.
• Care for adult cardiology patients including CHF, chest pain, post-Cath Lab, EP, etc.
• Occasional stress testing; IV dobutamine may be used.
• Use Epic EMR; MAs perform rooming and EKGs; perform orders and triage calls.
• Collaborate with MAs/LPNs, RNs, a Lead Nurse, a Manager, 5 cardiologists, 1 EP MD, and 4 NP/PAs.
• Up to two weeks orientation based on skill level.
