American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Cleveland, Ohio. The assignment begins 01/30/2026 and runs for 13 weeks with a 36-hour workweek on three 12-hour night shifts, with rotation based on needs.

The position requires an active OH or compact RN license and recent cardiac stepdown experience, along with BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications. Travel experience is welcome, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and recent cardiac stepdown experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital stepdown (HVTI) unit
• Cardiac stepdown patient population
• Three 12-hour shifts per week on rotating day/night schedule (7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am)
• Shifts may rotate based on operational needs
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Uses ECG rhythm monitoring equipment
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic location cannot exceed 18 consecutive months, and a 6-month break is required before returning
• Team support and orientation provided
• Qualivis – Lotus is used for submitting hours worked

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license must be in hand
• Minimum 18 months permanent experience in cardiac stepdown prior to travel
• Travel experience in cardiac stepdown will be accepted
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
