American Traveler is seeking a Travel Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week assignment in Smithfield, North Carolina. The role focuses on outpatient echocardiography with 40 hours per week, typically 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and no on-call requirements.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of cardiovascular sonography experience, RDCS/CCI/ARDMS or equivalent certification, and an accredited ultrasound education. Epic EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular sonography experience.
• RDCS/CCS/ACS/RCCS or ARDMS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Accredited Associate's Degree or 12-month ultrasound program completed.
• CPR skills required for emergency cardiac care.

Responsabilités

• Deliver pre- and post-procedure patient care including assessment and emergency cardiac care.
• Assist with post-procedure patient transport as needed.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment daily, perform QA monitoring and troubleshoot issues.
• Generate ultrasound images of the heart and vascular structures.
• May perform staff training and education.
• Monitor and record patient information, manage data systems, and charge entry and reporting.
• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for daily use between procedures.
