American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) in Indianapolis, IN. Requires 2+ years pediatric critical care, IN license, and CVPICU training. 48 hours/week, nights, 12-hour shifts, travel employment.

Role includes 1:1/1:2 assignments, night shifts, and required holidays. RTO up to 5 days may be auto-approved; first-time travelers accepted.

Qualifications

• Active IN license or compact RN license required.
• BLS and PALS certifications (AHA/RQI) required.
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric critical care experience required.
• Telemetry and ventilator management skills required.
• Nursing degree from ACEN/CCNE-accredited university.
• Cerner EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in a 23-bed Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) with complex cardiac cases.
• Maintain 1:1 or 1:2 patient assignments.
• Night shifts available: 3x12 or 4x12 hours (19:00–07:00).
• Work every other weekend.
• Float to cardiac stepdown unit and general PICU as needed.
• Care for medically complex pediatric heart patients in a nationally ranked hospital.
• Travelers may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring at least 2 years of pediatric critical care experience and active IN or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a 23-bed Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU specializing in complex cardiac cases, VAD, and heart transplant patients
• Patient assignments are typically 1:1 or 1:2
• Night shifts available: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, with hours from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend is required
• Float required to cardiac stepdown unit and general PICU as needed
• Care for medically complex pediatric heart patients in a nationally ranked hospital setting
• Will accept experienced PICU RNs and provide training on CVPICU unit procedures
• All travelers may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
• Candidates must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract
• First time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• RTO requests for up to 5 days may be auto-approved

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
• AHA or RQI certified BLS and PALS required
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric critical care experience required
• Must have telemetry and ventilator management skills
• Nursing degree must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited university
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Previous perm or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
