Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer for a large hospital setting in Minnesota. RDCS/ARDMS certification and a minimum of 2 years cardiac experience are required to join a fast-paced imaging team.

This travel assignment offers a 26-week contract, day shifts, and travel and licensure reimbursements, with housing options and medical benefits. BLS/CPR, license where applicable, and ability to work with critically ill patients are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Non-Invasive Cardiology Technology program.
• Minimum of 2 years cardiac experience in a large hospital setting.
• RDCS and ARDMS certification required.
• CPR or BLS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Knowledge of electrocardiography, arrhythmias, and conduction disturbances.
• Knowledge of sterile technique.
• Knowledge of mathematical principles including algebra.
• Knowledge of defibrillator and crash cart use.
• Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation effectively.
• Ability to work with critically ill/injured adult patients.
• Ability to recognize and respond to medical emergencies.
• Ability to recognize and report equipment problems and malfunctions.
• Ability to perform basic clerical activities.

Responsibilities

• Heart and Vascular Center setting.
• 8-hour day shifts with start times varying from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM.
• 26-week contract assignment.
• Floating to one outreach location per week on average (Stillwater or Westfields).
• Weekend rotation of every 6th or 7th weekend.
• No on-call requirements.
• No major holiday coverage required.
• Not open to new graduates.
• Facility will only consider candidates willing to start within 3 weeks or less.
• COVID-19 vaccine or religious/medical exemption required.
