Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Cardiac Sonographer for a travel assignment in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Echo Tech will perform echocardiograms, Doppler studies, and related imaging with patient care and data management responsibilities.

Requirements include 1 year of experience, BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS, and state licensing as needed. The role includes 40 hours/week, 8-hour days, and a 13-week duration. Travel benefits and 401k-like options may apply.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of echo experience.
• Must have BLS, ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS National Certification and state-specific licensing when required.
• Echo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time; good knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families regarding procedures.
• Demonstrate competence in echocardiographic studies.
• Perform quality Doppler and color Doppler exams.
• Acquire Stress Echo and Dobutamine images per physician standards.
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms as required.
• Report findings to reading physician for interpretation.
• Maintain equipment and patient records; ensure PACS usage.
