Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week assignment in Greenwood, South Carolina. The role requires 5+ years of experience performing adult and pediatric echocardiograms, including 2-D and 3-D imaging, color Doppler, and M-Mode.

Shifts are 40 hours per week, days, with Epic EMR charting and potential float across hospital and affiliate sites. Candidates must hold ARDMS or CCI credentials; BLS is required and prior experience with GE or Philips

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience as an Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer.
• Current BLS and ARDMS or CCI certification required
• RDCS and CCI RCS certifications preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency in adult and pediatric 2-D and 3-D echo, color Doppler, M-Mode, portable studies, and routine imaging
• Experience with TEE, treadmill and pharmacologic stress echo, bubble studies, and contrast imaging preferred
• Pediatric scanning experience with complex anomalies and post-surgical repairs preferred
• Experience performing calculations such as diastology, LV strain/volume, PISA, and Simpson's Rule
• Experience with GE and Philips equipment and PACS system
• Ability to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG preferred
• Experience performing procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings
• Comfortable using isolation precautions and PPE

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography procedures across adult and pediatric patient populations
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Perform adult and pediatric echocardiographic studies including routine, portable, and specialized imaging
