Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer I to perform transthoracic, transesophageal and stress echocardiography under supervision. The role includes travel to regional sites and mentorship of fellows and students.

Candidates should have an associate degree, and credentials within 12 months; ARDMS or CCI eligibility preferred. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to participate in on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• 2 Year/Associate Degree in Science or Associate of Applied Science, preferred.
• Vocational/Technical Accredited Cardiac Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography Program, required.
• Registry eligible for adult Echocardiography by ARDMS, preferred.
• RCS Certification eligible from CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International), preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs transthoracic, transesophageal and stress echocardiography.
• Travels to regional sites to perform echocardiograms.
• Mentors fellows, students and level I sonographers.
• Participates in on-call rotation for echocardiography.
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with department policies.
