Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Chicago, Illinois. This 13-week assignment requires 40 hours weekly, 10-hour day shifts, and a fast-paced Cath Lab environment.

Candidates should have 2+ years in Cath Lab, prior travel experience, BLS/ACLS, and Epic EMR familiarity. Shifts include weekends and multiple call requirements, with self-scheduling under supervision.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
• Prior travel experience; no first-time travelers.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Moderate sedation with Versed/Fentanyl, critical drip management, and case monitoring/circulating.
• Experience with listed procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Volume of cases is approximately 5–15 per day across Cath Lab duties.
• Care for diagnostic/interventional heart caths, PCI/CTO, peripheral interventions, and devices.
• Manage EP procedures such as pacemakers and loop recorders when applicable.
• Orientation includes facility onboarding plus unit-specific training.
