Job summary

Wachter Inc. is hiring Cable Technicians to support the installation of Wireless Access Points (WAPs) inside Walmart stores across the country. This role requires traveling nationwide and working overnight shifts.

Applicants should have experience with structured cabling, fiber optics, and working at heights. Comprehensive benefits are offered along with a competitive pay range of $19.00 – $22.00 per hour. This is a fully onsite position in Fort Smith, AR.

Qualifications

• Experience in structured cabling (CAT5/CAT6 pulls, terminations, troubleshooting).
• Fiber optic experience (pulling, terminating, connector installation).
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Comfortable working on lifts and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, and troubleshoot CAT5/CAT6 cables.
• Install and terminate fiber optic cables, including connector placement.
• Run cables from network switches to AP locations.
• Mount and secure Wireless Access Points (APs) and external omni antennas.
