Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Behavioral Health RN for travel and local contracts at behavioral health units across the U.S. In Warren, PA, you’ll provide compassionate psychiatric care, assess needs, and implement care plans in a secure, therapeutic environment.

This assignment features 12-hour days, 36 hours per week, and travel-friendly coverage with support from ARMStaffing for credentialing, licensing, and housing options.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact license preferred).
• BLS certification required; CPI or PMAB certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of recent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience.
• Strong communication, observation, and crisis management skills.
• Ability to remain calm and supportive in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient mental health status and behaviors
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects or reactions
• Implement therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and coping strategies
• Maintain a safe environment in accordance with facility policies and state regulations
