Job summary

National Staffing Solutions-Nursing seeks a travel RN with Behavioral Health to join our team in Springfield, MO. Assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts and an ASAP start date for a travel position.

You will assess and monitor patients with mental health disorders, administer medications, assist with crisis intervention, and collaborate with the care team to implement individualized plans. An RN license, current BLS, and 1–2+ years in behavioral health are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
• Active RN license in the state of practice (or compact license)
• Current BLS
• Specialty certifications (preferred): CPI, PMHN-BC
• Experience: 1–2+ years in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients with mental health and behavioral disorders
• Administer medications and monitor patient response and side effects
• Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and interdisciplinary team
• Maintain patient safety and therapeutic environment
